Kon Hoeel Marathi CrorepatiThe Marathi version of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire began telecast with a bang on May 6, 2013, on ETV Marathi. A vibrant dance pageant celebrating colourful folk forms of Maharashtra, made way for a a grand entry by the show host, set the stage for film and theatre actor par excellence, Sachin Khedekar, who eloquently rings up the theme of the show, as one of golden opportunity, as Maharashtracha Mahamanch, and introduces the first cluster of contestants from all corners of the Marathi speaking world. A Paishachya Zaad (Money Tree) of 15 questions, 3 life lines - Janmatacha Koul (Ask the Audience), Talayat Malayat (50-50), Mitracha Madat (Phone a Friend) and the ever watchful Katekar Kaka (Timer) set the stage for a game that’s engaging and challenging for contestants and viewers alike. The show promises Ithhe Nasheebach Nahi, Jag Badlel – here, not just destiny, someone’s whole world can change here. Genial, affable, playful, and dramatic in turn, Sachin Khedekar plays friend, philosopher and guide to the contestants.
