Spell Bee - India Spells 2013

Spell Bee – (India Spells 2013) began with an outreach of 2.5 lakh students, from more than 1000 schools across 35 cities. The top 16 competed in the TV rounds, in a format developed and produced for TOI's ENIL division by Big Synergy Media Ltd, for the first time this year.

Participants from classes 5 to 9 battled it out for ultimate spelling glory at the 150 year old St Mary's School in Mazgaon, Mumbai. The school's alumni feature Zubin Mehta, Azim Premji, Homi Bhabha, GE Vahanvati, Dom Moraes, Freddie Mercury and Boman Irani.

Hosted with exemplary precision and poise by Oxonian and actress Soha Ali Khan, Spell Bee aired every Sunday at 11am from the 24th of March on the Discovery Channel.
